Chelsea will not be parting with Conor Gallagher in this transfer window, according to The Athletic.
The 22-year-old midfielder had recently attracted the intention of Newcastle and Everton with reports of both a loan move and a permanent switch being tabled.
However, the Blues were unwilling to allow the England international to leave on a temporary basis again, while neither suitor matched Chelsea's £40m valuation.
Gallagher will instead remain a part of Graham Potter's first team squad for the rest of the campaign.
